Committees

  • Chapter Reporting
    Chapter Reporting accumulates and reports activities of the local chapter, file quarterly reports to the National and/or Regional Director, and also devises ways for the Chapter to earn points. 
  • Membership
    The Membership committee coordinates and promotes the recruitment, retention, and reclamation of our NABA members.
  • Public Relations

    The Public Relations committee's primary objective is to create a greater presence in the community.  The Committee accomplishes its goal by increasing awareness of NABA within the Dade, Broward and Palm Beach communities via print, radio, and electronic media, and by communicating our Chapter's activities and events to our membership.

  • Social & Community Outreach
    Social and Community Outreach promotes the Chapter's outreach to the community through volunteerism and financial contribution.  The committee also encourage s cooperative relations with other professional organizations and coordinates our annual Awards and Scholarship Banquet.
  • Fundraising
    Helps organize and execute fundraisers that support our NABA events and Chapter initiatives.
  • Professional Development
    The goal of the Professional Development committee is to aid in the members' professional development by introducing them to a wide variety of technical and non-technical business topics for CPE credit. The committee also promotes minority participation in accounting careers, as well as, provide informative seminars to make members better rounded and marketable in the industry.
  • Small Business & Tax
    The Small Business and Tax committee plans service activities for the betterment of the community and specifically for small businesses.  The activities include, but are not limited to, providing accounting, tax or other assistance to small businesses within the community.
  • Student Member Services
    The Student Affairs committee acts as a liaison between our professional and student members and facilitates the processing of the Student Scholarship.  The committee also helps encourage and assist minority students interested in entering the accounting profession.
