Bouygues Civil Works Florida, Inc. BCWF is currently looking for a Senior Accounts Payable to join the very busy Accounting department. POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Accounts Payable will have hands-on responsibility for aactivities and future staff of the Accounts Payable Department, on a multi-million dollar construction project.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Guarantee proper booking of the invoices and payment on due dates • Organize and coordinate the processing and reporting of payments, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations • Interactions with outside vendors by providing analysis of their accounts, research and resolution of vendor’s Accounts Payable issue • Coding and posting of invoices, reviewing and verifying invoices to ensure they comply with purchase orders and contracts • Complete initial set-up for new accounts • Process, analyze, and reconcile accounts payable records. Maintain cash applications, account reconciliation and charge backs • Manage and develop resource tools to research and resolve accounting issues with internal and external customers • Generate Accounts Payable reports to senior management as per schedule • Benchmark and assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the current process to streamline workflow; develop, implement, and communicate process improvements and internal control. • Manage and coordinate training/activities for Accounts Payable staff to ensure quality output, timely payment of invoices, outstanding customer service and compliance with company policies and guidelines • Maintain documentation of all departmental policies and procedures • Support the Accounting Manager in other tasks, such as payroll booking, month-end report, etc; as needed
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: • At least 10 years experience in Accounts Payable with at least five years in supervisory capacity • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with strong working knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures • Strong knowledge of taxes • Understanding of industry best practices and benchmarks • Advanced knowledge of Excel • Effective problem solving and analytical skills • Strong communication skills • Proven team leader and motivator • Flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
