NABA has a strong commitment to its community. Our Social and Community Outreach committee promotes the Chapter's outreach to the community through volunteerism and financial contribution. The committee also encourages cooperative relations with other professional organizations and coordinates our annual Awards and Scholarship Banquet.
The chapter has participated in many activities throughout the years. Some of those events include:
- Annual FICPA 1040k Run/Walk
- Habitat for Humanity
- Sickle Cell Walk/Run
- American Cancer Society: Relay for Life
- Big Brothers Big Sisters
- Investment seminars for adults
- Welfare to Work - Professional Clothing Drive
- VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program
- Participation in career fairs for high school students
- Contributions to UNCF and other community organizations
- Small Business forums
- Annual Awards and Scholarship Banquet
